Why is butter sold at room temperature but mustard oil is not?

because butter has" higher melting point "than mustard oil

as mustard oil's melting point is lower than room temperature, it is already is at its liquid state at room temperature

Butter is solid at ‘room temperature’, but mustard oil is not because butter is mostly made of saturated fatty acids due to which they remain tight and in solid form.

In case of mustard oil, it is mostly made up of unsaturated fatty acids. This can incorporate a lot of ‘hydrogen bonds’ and stays in liquid state at room temperature. Because of presence of the respective types of ‘fatty acids’, butter is less healthy than mustard oil.
