why is carbohydrate considered as food for plants while carbon dioxide and water which are used to make carbohydrates not considered as food?

Green plants make food in the form of carbohydrates by combining carbon dioxide and water using energy from sunlight. Carbohydrates are chemicals containing only the elements carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. The simplest usefulform of carbohydrate produced by photosynthesis is glucose sugar.
They are the ingredients/components of their food

Yes because carbon dioxide and water are raw materials for synthesis of food in the presence of sunlight plant cant get energy from  CO2 or O2 directly but when synthesis occur energy absorbed and the passage is very complex but remember carbohydrates are saccrides sugars that are food for plant
