Carbon is versatile in nature because it can bond with many things causing it to be present in many things. carbon can bond with many things because it only has 4 valance electrons in the second electron shell which allows 8 allowing it to form up to 4 covalent bonds.

carbon is verstile in nature because it can form single double triple bond in nature. It can also form chain when carbon atoms are joined together.
