Why is cathode thick and anode thin in electrolytic process

This time, the electrons flow from the cathode to the anode. So electrons are accepted at the anode side so that the ions get reduced and turn into metal atoms to get deposited on the anode, and oxidation takes place at the cathode. So the cathode becomesthinner in this case and the anode becomes thicker.
