Why is cause of black hole and supernova!?

when a star dies it explodes with a great explosion called as supernova but sometimes when it dies it cannot control its gravitational force and collapses with its own gravity due to huge pressure and heat it becomes smaller and smaller but when it has shrunk enough it explodes with a huge wave of gama radiation and forms a black hole
