Why is cellulose not digested in human body ?

Hi mate,

Humans cannot digest cellulose because they do not have any structure called CAEcum. In caecum there are some bacteria which help in digesting cellulose. But in case of humans they do not have this bacteria so that's why they cannot digest cellulose.......

Cellulose is a type of carbohydrate,which is digested in sac-like structure called Caecum.It is not in humans so,we aren't able to digest cellulose.
