why is cellulose termed a polymer

Cellulose is termed as polymer because it is made up of many monomer units i.e. the smaller units of glucose. Thus question is of the chemistry as polymer is made up of similar atoms joined together to make a big molecule same is in the the cellulose as it us made up of the glucose atoms joined together.
