hope it helps you

Metal atoms lose the electron, or electrons, in their highest energy level and become positively charged ions. Non-metal atoms gain an electron, or electrons, from another atom to become negatively charged ions.

bidyendu: yes it is the definition in book but why does losing electrons. make them positively charged.
bavatharinib: yeah
bidyendu: so tell me
bavatharinib: wat bro
bidyendu: the briefing
bavatharinib: wat?>

hey mate here your answer

*********************************************"""""""*"**"*

all metal have positive charge because they donate there ecectron

suppose *"

like
sodium
2 ,8 ,1

1 electron are donete and they form inert gas

inert gas also known as noble gas

thank yo u

APrajput8755: ye mra smjha hua hai
APrajput8755: sorry buti an right
APrajput8755: prove it i am wrong
bidyendu: sodium ek valence electro de deta hai uske outer shell mein ath hi electrons bache taki wof combine kar sake naki inert ban sake
APrajput8755: vo deta hai leta nahi
APrajput8755: suppose
bidyendu: wahi to likha hai
APrajput8755: you have 10 ruppes and ur friend have 5 ruppes you purchase like pen and tbe cost of pen is rs 15or same pen like you r friend u gain 5 ruppes ya you lose 10 ruppes
bidyendu: yes thats correct
bidyendu: but thats not in case of chemistry. metal always loses
