why is chrolophyll green?

  Chlorophyll is green because this pigment  absorb red and blue light wavelengths of sunlight except green wavelength. reflect the light so we see the green colour in the plant..........

.The reason that it is green is because it absorbs other colors of light such as red and blue, so in a way the green light is reflected out since the pigment does not absorb it.
