Objects are electroplated to make them attractive or to protect them against corrosion.

.IRON IS ELECTROPLATED WITH CHROMIUM TO AVOID RUSTING AND TO GIVE AN SHINY APPEARENCE BECAUSE CHROMIUM DOESN'T RUST EASILY LIKE IRON AND IT GIVES A SHINY APPEARENCE TOOOO

Answer:

IRON ELECTROPLATED WITH CHROMIUM because it has many desirable qualities like it has a shiny appearance, it is scratch resistant, it is very strong and durable, it doesn't rust. But chromium is very expensive, therefore it is not economical to make the object out of chromium. Thus a layer of chromium is electroplated on iron.

Hope it helps !!!!
