Since blood enters the human heart twice in the completion of one cardiac cycle, circulation in humans is known as double circulation.
One circulation is when venacava bring the blood to the right atrium which enters the right ventricle and goes to the lungs through the pulmonary artery.
The other circulation is when oxygenated blood from lungs enters the left atrium from the pulmonary vein. The blood is then transferred to left ventricle from where it goes to the entire body through the aorta.
