Carbon monoxide is toxic in nature because of the following reasons listed below -
1. When carbon monoxide is inhaled, then it gets attached to the iron part of the haemoglobin due to which sufficient amount of oxygen does not reach to our organs properly and we began suffocating.
2. It also results in nausea, headaches and may even lead to death of an organism.
3. It also disrupts the functioning and work of brain, heart and other organs also.
