Coal is an organic sedimentary rock that is made up of an inorganic material such as minerals.

However, the coal is made up by the acumination of plants that are materials swamps that made in organic in nature while mineral is inorganic in nature.

This is the main difference between coal and mineral apart from the room temperature.
