Because coastal areas get vanished and washed away due to loosening of land and soil.
This causes more lack of land and all lands will be underwater and the area of living will be much reduced.
Mangrove trees hold the soil and controls erosion.
Now-a-days even these trees are not planted and deforestation occurs leading to more increasing threat of soil erosion.
More planting of this tree can prevent soil erosion.A lot of afforestation (also known as reforestation) activities are being managed on a global scale to preserve the soils.
Willow trees, black locust trees and elderberries are good selections for this purpose.
Breaking channels can also control erosion.
