why is 'cold within' an apt title for the poem?

because the 6 peploe were sitting in the cold in front of fire which was about to go off and each had a log wiyh them but did not put there log in yhe fire because of discrimination among them they did not want to waste there log for someone else who is not like them so no one put their log in the fire and died .
actually theh did not die from the cold outside but from the cold which they had in there heart
