heat energy is transferred from hot places to cooler places by convection. liquids and gases expand when they are heated. this is because the particles in liquids and gases move faster when they are heated then they do when they are cold. as a result the particles take up more volume. hope it helps

RickyBhal: Not much satisfied..
MahakYadav1: why
MahakYadav1: please wait for sometime I can modify it
RickyBhal: Which class
MahakYadav1: 10
RickyBhal: I think u copied it from Internet
RickyBhal: My self 7
MahakYadav1: no my teacher gave this information to my whole class
RickyBhal: Oh oh
MahakYadav1: don't waste my time

Answer:

Conduction is not possible in liquids and gases because liquids and gases move freely. Conduction is only possible in solids, because it is done by not actual movement of the particles of heat energy. But, Liquids and gases move, they come in either Convection or radiation. Beacuse in, those two, there is movement in particles.
