LPG is petroleum vapour and boils at about minus 30 depending on the exact mixture in the cylinder. Like all vapours (This includes most gases) if we increase the pressure we can compress the gas and it becomes liquid. If you open the valve on a LPG cylinder, you will see frost starting to form as the liquid turns to gas, that is why the cylinder gets cold if you use a lot of gas.
