why is cooling produced on evaporation of a liquid??

evaporation results in cooling because when liquid is evaporated,it takes heat from the surrounding and make it cool.

When a liquid evaporates it takes the heat from the surrounding and thus causes the surrounding to cool .

This situation is applicable only to the liquids with low boiling point.
