hyy dear

Cooper is not used as potentiometer wire because copper has low resistivity and a high temperature coefficient of resistance and hence we do not use it in potentiometer .

May this helps you

your answer is here mate

Copper wire is not suitable forpotentiometer because it has high temperature coefficient of resistance and small resistivity. So even a very small change in temperature can cause a high change in its resistance which will affect the experimental conditions.

hope it helps you
