Telangana Handlooms and Textiles Minister K. T. Rama Rao has enunciated the need for a national policy for promoting textiles, which he said, was the second biggest employment generating sector after agriculture.
Addressing the ‘Textile India Summit’ inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Gandhi Nagar, in Gujarat, on Friday, Mr. Rama Rao said the Telangana government recognised the importance of textiles sector and resolved to establish a ‘Mega Textile Park’ in Warangal.
He explained the Telangana government’s industrial policy at the CEO round-table meeting and said that the State had become a suitable destination for investments, a press release said
