hiii this is the answer...............

Pollination is the process of transfer of pollen grains from anther and their deposition on he stigma of the flower. Pollination can be self-pollination or cross pollination.
*The transfer of pollen from the stamen to the stigma of the same flower is called self-pollination.
*The transfer of pollen from the stamen of one flower to the stigma of another is called cross-pollination.
Advantages of cross pollination:
*Cross pollination helps in the production of healthier offspring.
*Seeds produced as a result of cross pollination are most viable and possess high germinating capacity.
*Cross pollination results in the formation of abundant seeds.
*Varieties are created by cross pollination. i.e variations are introduced.
*Offspring produced by cross pollination have great vigour.
*Cross pollination helps in evolution.
*Cross pollination maintains crop yield.
*Cross pollination eliminates undesirable characters of the plant.
*Cross pollination results in the diversity of species as there is the possibility of genetic recombination
