we generally use crystallisation for seperation of pure solid from liquid solution.
the other way to do the same is by evaporation
drawbacks of evaporation are :
1) Some solids decompose or some, like sugar may get charred on heating to dryness.
2) Some impurities may remain dissolved in the solution even after complete procedure
but there is no such thing while crystallisation
