By delegating the work, a superior  empowers his subordinates to take routine decisions and makes himself focus on more challenging jobs. Freedom from routine work makes a superior excel in new areas and help to achieve effectiveness in his job.

 

(ii) EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT :  

Delegation makes the subordinate explore their talents and latent abilities. It makes employees confident to take decisions at their own unless a superior approval become necessary especially in important matter and thus , their career prospects increase.

 

(iii) MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES :  

When are superior entrust work with his subordinates it create trust and commitment on the part of subordinates. Responsibility builds self esteem and improves the confidence level of the employees. Thus delegation motivates to work harder and to come upto the expectations.

 

(iv) FACILITATES GROWTH :  

Delegation helps to create future managers as the subordinates learn new skills from the delegation. An organisation can enter new ventures and launch new products.
