Heyyy I hope it helpss

Democracy is a better form of government than its alternative because:

  • It is a more accountable form of government.

A non- democratic party may or may not respond to the people need, ir all depends on the wishes of the people incharge/ Ruler. They dont necessarly have to act on the wishes of people.

Whereas a Democracy is required to to attend on the wishes and the demand of the citzens.

  • It improves the quality of decision making.

A democracy is based on consultation and discussion. A democratic decision always involves many persons, discussions and meeting.

This takes time but there is a big advantage in taking time over importent decisions, this reduces the chances of rash or irresponsible decisions.

  • Democracy provides a method to deal with diffrences and conflicts.

In a socity people are bound to have diffrence of opinions and interests. These diffrences are particularly sharp in a country like ours which has such and amazing social diversity.

But such diversity can also lead to conflicts. Now these could either be resolved by brutal power, the mightiest of them could dictate, but that would lead to unhappiness, resentment and bitterness.

A democracy is peaceful solutions since no one is the permant loser or the winner.

  • Democracy enhances the dignity of the citizens.

A democracy is based on principals of political equality, on recognising that the poorest and the least educated has the same status as the rich and educated.

People are not subjects of a ruler, they are the rulers themselves

  • Democracy is better than the other forms of government because it allows us to correct our own mistakes.

There is no guarantee that mistakes cannot be made in a democracy. Infact no form of government can guarantee that.

The advantage of of democracy is that such mistakes cannot be hidden for long. There is space for public discussion of these mistakes. And there is room for correction. As the electors can change their rulers.
