democracy is considered to be an accountable , responsive and legitimate government because it gives the citizens right to examine the process by which decisions are made.these decisions are made according to norms and procedures which makes these decisions more acceptable to the people.added to this is the basic fact that in a democracy , the people have a right to elect their own government and the candidate which is elected is thought to be capable enough to fullfil the demands of the people

Democracy produces an accountable government because it provides regular, free and fair elections regularly. ... Democracies follow a constitution, so they are legitimate. The laws of the country are applicable to everyone, even to the government members.
