However,the volume of liquids is larger than volume of solids.this is because of expanding movement of a fluid of liquids that solid does not possess.the liquids always have lower density because they have larger volume,but yet the same mass.

It is because solids generally have more mass and are more rigid than liquids. An exception is the substance sponge which is is easily compressible because of the minute holes present in it.
