Why is destination of water an expensive way of providing fresh water to the population of a country?​

Answer:

Water has maximum specific heat and then latent heat just to convert 100°C water into steam. Therefore, it is expensive in terms of using energy for desalination. But when nature does it through a cyclone and sends that fresh water along the coasts, we allow this water to go back to ocean.
