why is difference between the duration of day and night hardly felt at kanyakumari but not so in kashmir?

because one day places Kanyakumari and Kashmir are located at difference distance from the equator
Kanyakumari is nearer to equator so day comes earlier in Kanyakumari where is Kashmir is far from equator so day comes late here

Kanyakumari is in the southern part of India whereas Kashmir is in the northern part of India
