diffusion is insufficient to meet the oxygen requirements of multicellular organisms like us as our body is huge in size, and it will took more time in diffusion. but in unicellular organisms like amoeba all the cell body come in contact with oxygen directly. but in our case all the parts do not come in contact with oxygen directly.

because in multicellular organism not every organ is in contect with air and they also require lot of energy with oxygen.
