diffusion is insufficient to meet the oxygen requirement of multicellular organism like hunan beings because in multicellular organism all cells may not be in direct contact with the surrounding environment.. diffusion is very slow process ,it will take a very long time to make oxygen available to all body cells .thus diffusion is insufficient to meet the oxygen requirement s of multicellular organism like humans because the volume of human body is so big that oxygen(air)cannot diffuse in all the internal cells of human body quickly .

multi cellular organisms sush as humans posses complex body designs. They have spelized  cells and tissue for performing various necessary functions of the body unlike unicellular organisms multicellular cells are not direct contact with the external environment.therefore diffusion cannot meet their oxygen requirements.
