Multi-cellular organisms like human have complex body design. They have specific cells and tissues to accomplish different tasks like intake of food and oxygen.Cells in multi cellular organisms is large and thick that diffusion cannot provide sufficient oxygen. Also, humans are apart from the natural environment that simple diffusion cannot provide sufficient oxygen.
