Unlike unicellular organisms, multicellularcells are not in direct contact with the outside environment. Therefore, diffusion simply cannot meet their oxygen requirements. Inmulticellular organisms like humans the body design is very complex and the oxygen demand is quite high.

Heya!!Here is your answer friend ⤵⤵

➡Diffusion is insufficient to meet the oxygen requirements of multicellular organisms like humans .

◀This is because , the human body is quiet large and voluminous and therefore oxygen cannot diffuse in through the cells .

◀Secondly , the entire body of unicellular organisms( like amoeba) is in contact with the environment which is not the case in multicellular organisms .

Thus, diffusion insufficienct to meet the oxygen requirements of multicellular organisms

Hope it helps you ✌✌
