Dignity is your launch point from which to engage life and to avoid being a slave to other people’s devices. Once you lose that you gain much more vulnerability toward what might be considered the tyranny of conformity for conformity’s sake - at which point you aren’t even allowed freedom in your own thoughts and both your outer and inner story become a tale explicitly told by other people.
