Why is dilute h2so4 with zinc used to prepare hydrogen gas and not the acid?

h2so4 acid is not used as it is highly reactive and led to splash of acid with zinc due to high temperature which can led to serious skin burns if came into touch of skin...

to avoid the quick splash diluted acid is used
