What is direct democracy? Why can it not be practiced in the present world?

⏩ Actually, the best democracy would be a mixture of both direct and indirect forms of democracy.

⏩ Highly technical things should be left to representatives who can take the time to educate themselves about all the technicalities involved.

⏩ But broader issues of democracy should be left up to the people to decide in a referendum style of democracy.

⏩ There is no rule or even philosophical justification that says you must pick one or the other form of democracy.

⏩ It is clearly obvious after scrutiny and analysis along with critical thinking that any democratic republic can only be improved by installing a mixed system including both direct and indirect democracy.
