Why is DNA important to every living thing? It provides material to hold the cell together. It makes proteins for the body to use. It provides instructions for processes of the cells. It provides oxygen that all living things need.

because it gives instruction to the metabolic processes by coding for the proteins by the processes transcription ,translation,post translational modifications........
