The drawing pin kept broad at the thumb side, but very sharp at the pin side because :
- In the drawing pin, one of end is kept wide while the another end is very much sharp . It is because that, while piercing drawing pin, we has to apply some of the external force up side of the pin so that it will get pierced. In order to apply the more force, head has to be wide.
- One end of a drawing pin is kept wide so it can be pushed easily & the other the end kept sharp to increase some pressure on board so that it can pierced with little force.
- So that it could be pierced while applying the very little external force.
- The drawing pin is made in such the way that it's one end is kept wide while other is sharp. This is because of that when piercing the drawing pin, some of the external force must be applied to upside of a pin in order for it to get pierced. The head should be wide in order to apply more force.
Thus drawing pin kept broad at the thumb side, but very sharp at that other side of pin.
