why is duration of day and night hardly felt at kanyakumari but not so in Kashmir?? plz urgent

Places near the equat or experience almost equal duration ofor day and night as the sun shine throughout the year .as going away from the equator tonwards the poles, the duration of day and night go on differing due to the slanting rays of sun .therefore there is a large difference in kashmir
