Earth rotates about its own axis hence it has centrifugal force acting on it.

Centrifugal force is greater at equator because of large radius. During formation of earth when it was in molten state, mass from poles came towards equator creating bulge at equator and flat at poles.

Answer:

because of force caused when earth rotates ,the north and south poles are slightly flat.

Explanation:

Earth rotation, wobbly motion and other forces are making the planet change shape very slowly but it is still round
