Earth geoid shape is due to gravity. According to scientists after the big bang when there where only dust clouds, matter and antimatter the matter and antimatter began to came in touch and exploded which continued for many years after which due to the number of matter being more than the antimatter the matter survived. After that the matter and dust came towards each other due to gravity thus becoming chunks of matter which due to spinning and adding of more matter became bigger for which Earth and many other planets got the shape which we know today.
