He planet on which we live : it is third planet outward from sun ,lying with its satellite, the Moon between Venus and Mars. Its parth rount the sun,I.e. that of its revolution , is an ellipse of which one focus in formed by the sun The mean distance of E. from the sun is c. 149.5 million km .The plane of its orbit is called the ecliptic ,and it is inclined to earths equatorial plane at an angle of 23 ^1/2° ; its this inclination that is responsible for the phenomena of the season .The measures 365 days 5 hours 48 min 46 sec.It has also a daily movement, rotating about its own axis in 23 hr 56 min 4.1 sec ,which is responsible for day and night By using atomic clocks it has been possible to prove that E.s rate of rotation is slowing down.
Hope it helps u other way

Hii there !

Firstly, Earth is not Round !
Earth is elliptical Because due to centripetal force earth has to rotate on its axis
Although there is poles which stretched the earth also the equator is there so earth is not perfect sphere . One more reason is that earth attracts all objects towards it due to gravity .
