It is because Inner core is made up on iron and nickel alloy with some silica, hydrogen, oxygen and carbon. There, these elements may be as in close packed solid state due to very high pressure, and temperature may be isotheral(marked by the same mean summer temperature) in core.

Answer:

The solid state of the inner core is due to high density and pressure which have compressed molten rock material and keep this layer firm and solid in some parts due to high pressure inspite of the temperature of 5000°C.
