Well this answer of yours actually can never be answered fully, because as days past new things are arising which contributes to the total destruction of our very own ecological system.But to answer your question shortly, I will just touch the surface of the problems,they are ;-
1.) Industrialization of the human kind , now this is a double edged sword as industrialization is growing companies like Tesla etc. are coming up but at the same time the pollution levels are nevertheless increasing at a large pace.
2.) Population, I for one sincerely believe that this is actually the main problem, for more people means more homes, more oxygen needed, more resources needed(which come from nature btw.) which leads to the imbalance in the nature.
3.) Illiterate Political leaders those who still bilieve, even in 2018, that global warming B.S. !!!
4.) Etc. etc. etc. etc.......
there are many many things which are responsible for our ecological crisis in this time of our civilization.
