Einstein was one of the most genius personality and a great scientist.. He gave a famous formulae f relativity i.e. E=mc^2  By giving this formulae he just stormed the science (especially physics) world and brought a science revolution.. So he was so great..... U can know more by searching for his biography.. this is all I could tell u in this answer on 'brainly'..  So thanks!  Hope it helps.. Plz mark as brainliest if u like..

Einstein is so great because of his theory of relativity.
A layman talks about speed but a physicist talks about its direction also ie it's velocity.

Right after Maxwell theoretically talked about the existence of electromagnetic waves in an era of "Aether medium" and also when he gave the speed of light theoretically just by using his equations everybody were confused that in what reference frame was Maxwell talking about. Cause at that time all the physicists were obsessed about reference frame as they made lot of sense.

So many scientists came together and thought of a central reference frame in the universe which was superior to all and the speed of light given by Maxwell ie 3×10^8 m/s is it's velocity in this frame.

But out of nowhere a young man comes and says

"'There's no reference frame for light"

These words changed the way mankind thought about how much they knew about the light and universe

He told light travels with the same speed I'm each and every frame of reference and just because no-one experienced it it was quite counter intuitive and nobody believed it .But later it was proved right.

that single statement brought into light effects like time dilation, time.travelling, special relativity etc etc.

Hence just because he changed the course of history he is GREAT!!!
