ELECTRIC WIRES ARE COVERED WITH PLASTIC THAT IS MADE OF POLYVINYL CHLORIDE AND IT IS A BAD CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY AS CHARGES ARE ACCUMULATED AT THE CENTRE (STATIC ELECTRICITY)

SO TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK THEY ARE COVERED.
