● Forming sodium hydroxide at cathode

2Cl- => Cl2 + 2e
☆At cathode (-)
2H2O + 2e => H2 + 2OH
☆Total cathode equation
(2Na+) +2H2O=> H2 + (2Na+) + (2OH-)
☆The total process equation
2NaCl + 2H2O=> Cl2+H2+2NaOH
