Why is electron gain enthalpy of chlorine is more than fluorine?

It is so because fluorine has a smaller size so the electron gained experiences repulsion from other electrons present. Due to this the gaining of electron is not favoured. And in case of chlorine, it's size if compared to fluorine is greater so less repulsion will be there.
