Every link in the food chain is important because :-

  • lets take an example of any food chain grass - deer - tiger
  • If any link is broken i.e. let's suppose that all the deers are removed then all the tigers will die due to hunger
  • And the no. of grass will increase as it will not be eaten.
  • So the balanced will be disturbed.

Answer:

All matter is conserved in an ecosystem, but energy flows through an ecosystem. This energy moves from one organism to the next in what is known as a food chain. All living things need nutrients to survive, and food chains show these feeding relationships.
