Why is excess use of fertilizer detrimental for the environment

bcoz they are made from chemical substances and they soluble in water and makes water polluted ....moreover excessive use of it makes can damage soil fertility

One major problem with using excessive fertilisers is that the excessive fertilisers get washed away by rain into a stagnant water body. This will lead to rapid growth of any water plants and fish die due to the chemicals and deprived oxygen levels. This is called Eutraphication.
