Excess water supply to the crops may result in a condition known as water loging.it reduces air in the soil thereby damaging the roots. if too much of water is in the soil then water will log and there wont be an air for the plant to breathe through roots.

2)Before sowing, soil should be prepared well by ploughing and watering. Irrigation helps to moisture and loose the soil. It is necessary to loosen soil Because only loose soil allows the roots to penetrate freely deeper into soil.

3)It is important to dry grains before storing because it contains moisture that is favorable for growing of microorganisms that can spoil the food.
